Support Groups Available for Our Students

Celebrating With Our School Community at Christmas

The SK/Grade 1 class visited with our little ones at the school based preschool - The Latch Key Daycare.   The little one's were treated to songs and dances prepared by our youngest students.
A beautiful bond of BIG school and LITTLE school is nurtured through these meaningful child centre activities.

Helping Others Sacred Heart Style

Once again, students from Sacred Heart School took to the challenge of showing the community just how giving they could be.  After the Thanksgiving Food Drive, students learned that the Lasalle Food Bank was also in need of pricier items like toiletries and laundry soap.  Teachers used the Advent season to talk about giving instead of receiving and students did just that.

Primary students did a reverse calendar and brought in items to fill boxes, while junior and senior classes divided the list of needs to ensure all the requests were met.  The donation pile was incredible! Jo-Anne Williams, the Coordinator of the St. Andrews Community Food Bank wrote students and staff a letter saying that "Sacred Heart School is one of our biggest supporters, without your hard work and determination to give help to those in need, we at the food bank would not be able to do our job. Sacred Heart School is a very big part of our food bank's success.  We feel very blessed for all the years you have partnered with us in helping those less fortunate."

Students brought in so much they had to call upon the Lasalle Police Services for help. Officers arrived and stuffed a police trailer with all the items.

Way to go Cardinals!  Your generosity is making the holidays a little brighter for the community once again.

A Message from the Food Bank
To Sacred Heart School -  Staff and Students

You are a FABULOUS bunch.I am once again at a loss for words . Your support of our Food Bank is overwhelming!  Each year, your commitment to helping us is a very exciting time for us all.  We are so very thankful for all of you and all you do.  Sacred Heart School is one of our biggest supporters without your hard work and determination to give help to those in need, we at the Food Bank would not be able to do our job. You need to know that your donations helps a great many families in our Town of LaSalle. Without you, helping us, it would be much more difficult to help those in need. We are so very grateful for your commitment and efforts.

Sacred Heart School is a very big part of our food bank's success. We feel very blessed for all of the years you have partnered with us in helping those less fortunate. Thank you all, so very much, for all of your support, caring and sharing. You are a part of our team and we are so proud of and grateful for each and every one of you

Wishing you and all your families a Blessed Christmas Season.
God Bless!

Congratulations to the Sacred Heart Nerdie Birdies who competed in the Windsor Essex FLL Robotics Competition on Sunday at St. Clair College. Teams were tasked with coming up with an innovative solution for human/animal interactions. They also competed in the robot mission challenge. After a long 11 hour day of competition the Nerdie Birdies received an honourable mention for highest robot mission score. We were tied for the highest score but lost the award on the tie-breaker. We are looking forward to next year’s challenge.  The theme is Hydro Dynamics.  A special shout out of gratitude to the coaches Mr. Bortolin and Mr. De Zorzi!
